Description

From: Corsini, Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy
Varietal: Arneis, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc

Taste: This is a pale straw color in the glass with subtle greenish reflections. The nose is expressive, offering a bouquet of white peaches, green apples, and citrus, complemented by floral hints of roses and a touch of minerality. It is fresh and lively on the palate, with crisp acidity enhancing notes of ripe orchard fruits. The mid-palate reveals a pleasing texture, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.

Pairing: It shines as an aperitif but really excels when paired with food. Consider serving it alongside seafood starters like citrus-marinated shrimp ceviche, where the wine's freshness works with the dish's zesty flavors. Pasta dishes such as linguine with clams and lemon zest pair beautifully, as the wine's acidity balances the clams' brininess and the pasta's richness.

About: Podere Ruggeri Corsini, established in 1995 by agronomists and oenologists Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante, is situated in the hamlet of Corsini in Monforte d'Alba, Italy. The couple left their academic careers to focus on winemaking in the Langhe region. Today, while Loredana and Nicola remain actively involved in the winery, their daughters, Francesca and Vittoria Argamante, now manage the entire operation. Francesca oversees winemaking, while Vittoria handles operations. Both are actively engaged in vineyard management, where their mother continues to offer guidance. Their father, Nicola, plays a key role in the cellar, particularly when the sisters travel for marketing and brand expansion.
