From: Valdobbiadene Prosecco, Italy
Varietal: Glera
Taste and Critical Acclaim: “The Jeio Prosecco Superiore NV has bright aromas of fresh green apple, with notes of citrus fruit, peach, apricot, and banana. White flowers and vegetal notes of freshly cut grass complement the spicy finish. Dry with a consistent body, this wine is elegant, fresh, and crispy, but not light.” — Gianluca Bisol, President & CEO
Pairing: Pairing: There are so many ways to enjoy these beautiful bubbles:
* on its own as an aperitif;

* with a splash of Aperol;
* for any toast; and
* alongside your main course.
With that in mind, we’re sharing a delightful recipe to pass around and share with your friends! It’s by Tara Parker-Pope, and her recipe is for Mini Brie and Apple Quiches. It’ll only take about 30 minutes to get you 30 mini quiches, which sounds like great time management to us.
“The NV Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Jeio shows crisp mineral-laced green apples and savory spice. It’s soothingly sweet and spicy, yet full of zesty energy, with ripe orchard fruits offset by a tug of brisk acids. This takes a turn toward the savory side, with salty minerals and herbs; yet energy remains high, making for a clean and wonderfully refreshing finale.” –-Eric Guido, Vinous, 90 points (December 2020)

Creamy, racy and fun, this offers inviting aromas of green apple, wisteria and aromatic herb. The vibrant palate delivers Bartlett ear, citrus and thyme accompanied by an elegant, continuous mousse. It has a crisp, dry close. Wilson Daniels Ltd. Editors’ Choice, 92 pts
The winery. Since 1542, the Bisol family has produced a range of sustainably farmed and internationally recognized Prosecco Superiore DOCG in the heart of Valdobbiadene. All bottlings are expressions of terroir, including the famed ‘Cartizze, the ‘Grand Cru’ of Prosecco, from their own vineyards. Today, Giancluca Bisol has assumed the role of President and CEO while his brother, Desiderio, holds the position of chief enologist and technical director.
The area. The wines of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG represent Italy’s highest-quality designation in the Prosecco category. Situated approximately 30 miles north of Venice and 63 miles south of the Dolomites in the province of Treviso, Prosecco Superiore DOCG is defined by a limited geographic area that extends over 15 hillside towns, flanked by the municipalities of Conegliano to the east and Valdobbiadene to the west.
