We're getting together (virtually) with Cadence Winery for a pre-holiday tasting on Thursday, December 3rd, at 7 pm.
Cadence is one of our favorite Washington wineries, and we're excited to share some of their very limited production wines with you. Ben Smith, whose career as a Boeing engineer and membership in the Boeing Wine Club ignited his desire to make wine, started Cadence Winery with his wife, Gaye McNutt. They work solely with Red Mountain fruit from the Cara Mia, Tapteil, and Ciel du Cheval vineyards and focus on vineyard specific Bordeaux-style blends. Four of their wines are vineyard designated, and each has such a distinct character and style based on the vineyard and the combination of varietals. Coda, their second label, is used for vineyard blends and is often Cabernet Franc dominant.
Cadence winemaker, Ben Smith, and their sales director, Greg Giere, will join to give us more information about the Cadence story and take us through the wines. We'll taste through the full line-up in half bottles!
December 3rd's virtual event is sure to be a perfect holiday gift for the Washington wine lovers in your life. We hope you'll join us!
PS We heard you. Opening five half-bottles in one tasting is a little much for quarantining or for a weekday evening. So, we opened up the tasting for anyone who purchases any single half-bottle of Cadence wines. Going about it this way allows you to purchase as little or as many half-bottles as you'd like and be included this Thursday evening.
We'll have all of the wines ready for pick-up or delivery this Wednesday, December 2nd. A perk of the tasting? Anyone who participates will receive a discount code for Cadence wines' online purchases on our site, valid through the end of the year.
