From: Walla Walla, Washington
Blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot
Taste & Critical Acclaim: The 2020 ‘Claret’ comes from the Reyvaan ‘In The Rocks Vineyard’ in the Walla Walla Rocks AVA. Very salty and savory, this reveals black olive, creosote and black tea flavors alongside good verve on the palate. Enjoy now. Drink 2023-2027- 91 Owen Bargreen
“This Bordeaux-style blend takes you straight to France by way of Walla Walla. Aromatics show cassis, blackberry, cigar box, saddle leather, and roasted herbs. A beautiful and lush red blend from Reynvaan Winery.”
Pairing: This effortlessly cool ‘Claret’ pairs with a wide range of cuisine. Everything from burgers, tacos, gyro’s, BBQ, teriyaki, pizza, and eggplant parmesan is on the table. Of course, the classic cuts of steak and lamb are amazing, but you might be surprised at how well this pairs with something like bulgogi (check out the recipe below for a twist on the traditional).

About, general. Result of a Crush was started by Amanda Reynvaan and Angela Reynvaan Garratt in 2011, along with their brother Matt as consulting winemaker. From the beginning there were two primary objectives: (1) produce high value/lower cost Rhone style wines that can be enjoyed every day and are fun to share with friends; and (2) produce that wine at a quality level equal to wines that sell for latest twice as much.
Each of these objectives have been consistently met and allowed them to provide an annual offering of our wines that now includes: Syrah Blend, Rhone White Blends, Cabernet Blend, and a Syrah co-fermented with Viognier. Each wine is widely recognized for its extraordinary Quality to Price Ratio (QPR) because they contain only declassified juice from Reynvaan Family Vineyards or special fruit sourced from Matt’s friends in Walla Walla Valley. As with all of their Reynvaan wines, their goal is to produce wines that they love and hope you do as well. Some call these wines the gateway drug to Reynvaan Family Vineyard wines, others enjoy all of the wines for various times and events.
