Domaine Jacques-Frederic Mugnier needs no introduction for Burgundy lovers. One of the elite producers in Chambolle-Musigny along Georges Roumier and Comte Georges de Vogue.
Taste & Critical Acclaim: 94 Jasper Morris
I tasted from two barrels, the first of which had a light oxidation but the second should be representative of the real wine. A richer purple. Cleaner crimson purple colour, with a much fresher bouquet. This has all the charm I associate with Fuées, along with the extra structure which gives a tiny bit of muscle. Well ripened fruit, on the darker side of red, fills the palate pleasingly, with a persistent finish.

Pure and precise, the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuees offers up aromas of sweet red berries, peonies, vine smoke, spices and orange rind, followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless palate defined by cool fruit tones and melting tannins. Concluding with a long, mineral finish, this is a weightless, elegant Fuees from Mugnier.

Vinous V 91-93
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a very attractive, quite intellectual nose with lively red fruit, crushed rocks, orange blossom and subtle tobacco scents. This has wonderful delineation. The palate is smooth and cohesive, with orange rind and Seville orange marmalade infusing the red fruit. An underlying note of white pepper and cracked black pepper lends spiciness to the finish. What a lovely, sprightly ingenue of a Les Fuées. - Neal Martin, November 2022
