From: Volpago del Montello, Veneto, Italy
Varietal: Manzoni Bianco
Taste: This Manzoni Bianco presents a pale straw yellow color with greenish shades. On the nose, it is elegant and aromatic, featuring well-recognizable scents of fruits and minerals. The palate is tasty and pleasantly aromatic, with tropical fruits, citrus, and lemon verbena flavors. The wine has a lovely supportive structure behind its bright fruit, combining elegance with a delightful aromatic profile.
Pairing: This wine complements grilled shrimp, seared scallops, and light fish dishes like sole or flounder. Fresh garden salads with citrus vinaigrette or a classic Caesar salad are also excellent choices. For poultry, consider roasted chicken or turkey seasoned with lemon and herbs. Light pasta dishes, such as linguine with clams or pasta primavera, enhance the wine's bright fruit flavors. Soft, mild cheeses like mozzarella, ricotta, or goat cheese pair nicely.

About: The Pozzobon family, with hands dyed red from the Montello soil, has a rich history deeply intertwined with winemaking. In the early 1970s, Emilio, a farmer and son of farmers, purchased the estate where his father and grandfather had worked as sharecroppers. He made a significant shift from silkworm farming to the vineyard, a decision that was driven by his unwavering passion for winemaking. This passion was passed down to his three sons: Diego, Adelino, and Mirco. Two decades later, the sons, now grown men, were ready to take over the winery, infusing it with their unique perspectives and leading it into the new century. In 2013, the first grandson, little Emilio, was born, and the story of the Pozzobon family's winemaking legacy continues.
Diego, born in 1963, is the eldest of the Pozzobon brothers. A cheerful soul who loves the sun and open air, Diego initially worked as a builder with his uncle before joining the vineyards. He thrives among the vines, where dedication and passion replace traditional working hours.
