Description
Fruit for this wine comes from vineyards planted in 1988 on a southeast facing slope of pebble-filled clay and limestone. Whole clusters were crushed slowly and began fermentation spontaneously. Vinification took 15 months in oak that was 10% new. The resulting wine was fined with Bentonite and lightly filtered. Demeter certified Biodynamic.
Aromas of smoky green orchard fruit and ripe citrus fruits introduce the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Les Aigrots Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, layered and incisive wine with good cut and flesh. Pretty and flavorful, this will offer a broad drinking window. —William Kelley, Robert Parker Wine Advocate (01/2019) |
