Wine Tasting (Saturday July 15)

The Saturday Wine Tasting Lineup! 11-5 pm

2015 Weingut Robert Weil Riesling Trocken $21.99

The Robert Weil line of estate wines begins with this medium-bodied dry Riesling that shows the typical density and power of the Rheingauregion, but is more affordable than the ultra-classy single-vineyard wines. The Riesling Trocken is pure and intense, with a stony richness and a lively, well-balanced structure.

2016 Figuiére Le Saint Andre Rosé $11.95

Le Saint André Rosé is intended to be light, invigorating and easy-to-enjoy. Aromas and flavors of peach, orangeskin, and white flowers are accented by refreshing acidity and a salty minerality thanks to the influence of the sea.

This easy-to-enjoy wine has a soft profile made from a blend of Cinsault 25%, Grenache 25%, Syrah 25%, and Cabernet-Sauvignon 25%. A two to three-hour maceration before vinification brings a pale melon color to this classic Provençal rosé.

2015 Château de Prenchère Bordeaux Blanc $13.95

The Château de Parenchère Bordeaux Blanc is a dry white that is very fresh and aromatic. Comprised of a blend of Sauvignon, Semillon, and Muscadelle, this wine is fermented and refined in stainless steel tanks to preserve its characteristic fruit and acidity. Light yellow in color, the Château de Parenchère Bordeaux Blanc is teeming with intense white flower and citrus fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine is both fresh and round with a long, lasting finish.

2015 Castellare Chianti Classico $26.85

Located in the Chianti Classico commune of Castellina, this Castellare offering is comprised primarily of the local Sangiovese grape, Sangioveto. Research begun in the late 1970s allowed Castellare to isolate this clone and enabled the winery to makethis unique style of a Tuscan classic. A bright ruby red in color, this Chianti Classico shows well-integrated aromas of tart red cherries, tobacco, sunbaked earth, and a hint of cedar spice. On the palate, firm structure and refreshing acidity make it a very versatile food wine.
