Ca’ STORTA 2014 The name derives from the little family house peeping out among the vineyards.
TYPE OF WINE Organic red wine
APPELLATION Romagna DOC Sangiovese Superiore
VINIFICATION Sangiovese grapes of various clones are fermented together. Fermentation and subsequent maceration occur in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of around 22 °C. Contact with the skins lasts around 10 days; malolactic fermentation follows.
AGING 4 months in stainless steel vats and at least 2 months in the bottle.

YIELD 6 ton/hectare; 1.5 kg per plant.
TASTING NOTES Bouquet with scents of wild berries and violets. On the palate notes of currants, with pleasant acidity and sweet tannins. Extremely easy drinking.
AGING POTENTIAL 3 years
PAIRINGS Perfect for an aperitive in red, to pair with a pizza or a traditional Romagnol piadina with charcuterie and fresh cheese. It also pairs well with fish dishes and especially those with fish from the Adriatic sea.
