In 1987, Mr. Pampus acquires the La Blaque estate and its 50-hectare vineyard and the bastide of Châteauneuf, where the cellar will be built. The management of the field is entrusted to Mr Gilles Delsuc, oenologist graduated from the Faculty of Dijon. With the help of his wife Laurence, also an oenologist, they will do everything possible to develop the field. The encépagement has been improved and the vineyard now reaches 55 ha.
"La Blaque is an exceptional terroir," says Gilles Delsuc. "The microclimate, soil diversity and vineyard orientation are optimal. The sunshine of nearly 320 days a year, as well as the extreme variations between day and night (due to altitude) are very favorable to the maturity of the grapes. This context allows you to start harvesting in mid-September. The soils are clay-limestone in nature, with, however, great variability ranging from almost chalky limestone soils to heavier clay soils. These are excellent conditions for Mediterranean viticulture. "
