2015 Rainoldi Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno
At the beginning of the 1920s, Valtellina found itself in a context of poverty and emigration. The strong desire to emerge pushes Aldo Rainoldi to start his own business as a wine merchant in 1925.

In the second half of the 1950s, his son Giuseppe decided to work alongside him . The qualitative growth is realized with the purchase of grapes instead of wine as well as the  sale in the bottle replaces that in chestnut barrels. This phase coincides with the expansion of the markets: no longer only Lombardy and Switzerland, but also the United States, Japan, northern Europe thanks also to a wider and more differentiated range of wines.

At the end of the nineties, after completing his studies in viticulture and enology, Aldo Rainoldi , Giuseppe's nephew, joined the company in the name of family continuity . The goal is to combine qualitative growth with respect for the environment , guiding the company towards the next generational transition.

Today Rainoldi is among the most popular wineries in Valtellina .
The great success is certainly to be attributed to the quality and experience that places Rainoldi among the most sought after wines in Valtellina .

The Rainoldi winery offers the most demanding and passionate about wine a vast assortment that includes both the reds Inferno , Sassella , Grumello and Sforzato (or Sfursat), as well as the surprising white wines of the Alps.

Tasting Notes: Wine produced only in the best years. Intense ruby red color. On the nose notes of small red fruits, spices, tobacco, thyme. In the mouth it is rich, dense and with a long finish. Particularly long-lived wine.
